Well there are liars, damn liars and statistics, but I have about had it with bad journalism. I have been burned twice now and have egg in both eyes.
Lisa, help me out here, I was only a radio disc jockey, but you have a degree in journalism, aren't these professional sources supposed to verify their sources? Where is the outcry over this shoddy journalism?
Well it is right here my friend. If I haven't pissed off Yahoo or Fox yet, I may be about to. You guys are sucking. Some heads need to roll. I can't trust Yahoo or Fox now. I guess that leaves CNN. Or did they reprint these rumors as stories too?
If I am reading Jayski's I know I am reading rumors. But better journalism is expected from Yahoo and Fox, a whole hell of a lot better to be exact. Your letting us down man. Your letting a whole generation down.
In these days where every #### like me can publish, traditional media integrity is extremely important. I don't want to sound like a right wing conservative, but you media types have been misleading us for a long time. It is especially disappointing to me that the "fair and balanced" news network blew the hell out of this one.
Jerry Dumasski and Rush Brenner's heads need to role. How else can you expect us to believe you next time? For now, you have lost this blogger. I'll get my news elsewhere.
"On Friday, in brief comments to assembled media before the start of practice for Saturday night's Nextel Cup event at Darlington Raceway, Richard Childress' interest in pursuing Dale Earnhardt Jr. was clear. But he added that he had yet to speak to the driver on his future, and that contrary to some broadcast reports, no deal had been done. "We will sit and talk, I'm sure," he said. "I'm hoping he's considering us. But I think right now, we'll just give him some time and space to do his own due diligence on the race teams he's looking at."
Childress, a longtime friend of the Earnhardt family, seemed more intent Friday of giving Earnhardt Jr. space.
"Let me kind of tell you where I'm at," he said. " Dale Jr. just made a major decision in his career and in his life yesterday. Out of respect for Teresa and Dale Jr. in this situation, let's all give him some time to make the decisions he needs to make, and be fair. He's got a lot of tough decisions coming up in the direction he's going, and I just think it's fair that we all let him have some space and some time to kind of think about what he wants to do in the future."
