Jamie Mac is a bit of a surprise being in the top ten but the others all were pretty predictible. Wonder where Harvick and Burton and Ryan and Kurt and Clint and Denny rank? And what about Juan Pablo, he certainly seems to get more commercials aired than several of those ranked above him. I'd like to see a brand awareness survey of the drivers and a survey to see how well the average fan would do matching driver to car number to sponsor. All part of the overall value of each combination.
Hey falco, how pathetically insecure does a blogger have to be to list his so-called accomplishments on his profile. Just a bunch of meaningless and insignificant "awards" to try to build up your low self-esteem I guess.
What the H*E*L*L, 1824fan? Have you read many profiles here? What's the big deal and why the attack on 14falcons?
Is that the real reason you have a problem or is there something else?
Here is a tip for you - Bloggers who do not fill-out a BIO here on the Fox Blogs are considered "trolls" and not dealt with in a pleasant manner. So you might want to refrain from criticizing someone for their's until you write your own.
Jamie is a surprise. The deal was signed over two years ago and may reflect the high expectations that Jamie was expected to deliver on at Roush. However, the sponsors appear to be pleased and are expected to re-sign with him. Jamie is an excellent spokesperson and keeps his name clean which adds to his value for the sponsor.
If you check some of the other lists on the Forbes site, you will see some of the other "drivers" you mentioned on the top 10 "drivers" list. This was the "car" list.
A bio is a bio. Mine reflects my accomplishments as a writer. Whether they are of any merit or not is in the eyes of the beholder. In a way, mine acknowledges that this is largely "pretend" for me. Don't take me too seriously. I try not to.
I am not sick of the money actually. It provides a great deal of entertainment to me and millions of others. Consequently, it adds to the value of life. I just think it is interesting to keep up with the costs of NASCAR as much as any other details regarding the sport.
I mean, if you read the "Forbe's" article, you saw it costs 2 million to get your logo on the door post for a season. Isn't that just amazing?
Thanks for the backup. Personally, I am glad that we don't have a site that is over moderated. And while I could, I choose not to delete such posts as 18's. Why would I want to? I say thank God we are free to have our say and I'll leave it to the idiots to look like idiots.
14,
Your response to moseby is perfect. He has actually praised me many times under a couple of my other screen names. You just never know who you're attacking now do you mose? Glad you are not one of the deleters 14, that says much more to me about you than your profile. The RacingInsider (so-called) is another with a pretentious profile (in my not so humble opinion) but he always deletes comments that show his facts are wrong or just those that disagree with him. You have won my respect (like that's worth much) with your reply to moseby.
BTW - lighten up moseby - this is all in fun anyway.
14 Falcons
Thankfully the value just takes into account one would assume the popularity rather than success of the driver ?
Shouldn't that as such also be a predetermning factor in all of this as well ?
Or is this just another fact and stat that's being placed out there by the powers that be to initiate and elicit some interest of the fans ?

Okay, cool. I just thought it was an unsolicited attack on 14. Falcons gives good info on all motor sports, so just wanted to make sure that people don't think he is just hot air. Sometimes I do jump the gun on defending my favorites - character flaw.
What ever. I would prefer to drop 2.5 million on a tricked out Lambroghini or a Mc Claren( spell check). Just can't justify that kind of money for a Ford, Chevy or MOPAR even with the fancy stickers.
Think I will take a Pepsi Lite with the sour grape flavor.
And I only made $3.35 an hour for all my work...I raced to the track. I watched the race. I am a fan. Oh wait I even had to pay...
Show me the money. I want some of the dough...LOL..Hey Falcon if they lose some of that money let me know where it is..Lol..
I try to pass on good info. Admittedly, I post blogs about or related to my favorites. My blog serves several purposes, one is an electronic scrapbook for me. I also try to make it interesting enough that other bloggers will want to read and comment because I really enjoy the conversations.
But I am not trying to be Mr. NASCAR. I fell into that trap last summer and learned to back off.
B&R Racing - Yeah, that's my altar ego. I can't write blog articles as Moseby, so I needed another ID.
14Falcons - Don't get worked up about 1824, he isn't a bad dude. He always comes on heavy to those he doesn't know. But if he keeps reading you he will respect your work and acknowledge.
Yeah, I like your stuff because you don't just focus on one area and one driver. We don't have enough folks writing about open-wheel racing on Fox. Plus, your not an apologist for your favorite driver(s). Put the info out there and let everyone digest it.
I'm not worked up about 18. Now there is a moderator on the "official" Jamie - Roush board that I am worked up about. But several of us got worked up about her so one guy put together an "un-official" board that is better than the "official" board. #### goes by the name of trixie.
Thanks for realizing I stick to my favorite drivers but I watch different kinds of racing. And no I don't apologize for my drivers. They made it on their own without needing any help from little old me and I know they are big enough men (and women) to handle any criticism that comes their way from anyone.
