Can “Leicht”-ning Strike Twice?
Jun 21, 2007 | 9:22AM | report this

By JIM UTTER - The Charlotte Observer

Stephen Leicht, who drives Robert Yates Racing’s entry in the NASCAR Busch Series, won his first series race last weekend and became the first non-Nextel Cup regular to win a series race this season.  Ironically, the same scenario unfolded last season when then-Busch driver David Gilliland pulled off a surprise win at Kentucky and was followed by Paul Menard’s win at The Milwaukee Mile.  Until Leicht’s victory, Cup drivers had won every series race since.

“It is starting to sink in.  It sets in more when I am with my team," Leicht said.  "I don’t think the smiles have left their faces since we left victory lane,” said Leicht, who will look for his second consecutive win in Saturday‘s A####mp;T 250 at The Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, Wisc. (8 p.m. Eastern, ESPN2).  “It is hard to describe how excited everyone is.  I had to replay the end of the race a few times just to see the actual win and make sure that it was real.”

So who will it be?  Marcos Ambrose?  Bobby Hamilton Jr.,?  Leicht again?

you can rule out Marcos going to victory lane...short track racing doesn't quite agree with him yet.

Well, if you noticed, I suggested Bobby and his Ford Racing team mates.

Falcons: I don't think Leicht- ning will strike twice. I think Brad Coleman will be the one to watch this week..Don't know why but a hunch..

Can you believe fox bleeped "AT&T"?

It is nice to see so many non Cup drivers in the Busch series. For a while thought they needed Cup drivers to make a full field. UUUMMMM.

Annuities! They're a rip off, unless you're the salesman? You after a series 7/63 license?
Buy MegaMillions tics instead.

sls,

I owned annuities at one time. I cashed mine out.

I am working on getting a license to sell Life Insurance and Home Insurance right now. Annuities are on that test.

Falcons: That is admirable that you are studying for insurance and anuities sales.. Tried to get in it once but it wasn't for me.. You on the other hand would be a perfect fit then you can own 1.3 million dollar house too..

I will stick with sand dunes in Fla..

I need to get over the 1.3 million dollar house. It was just a shocking piece of information to receive. I helped her get there. I am proud of her.

I chose a family. It is the toughest thing I have ever done. But I'll hang in there.

The annuities kicked my #### again today though.
