A little home cooking for McDonald’s driver Bobby Hamilton left the Tennessee native in seventh place in the NASCAR Busch Series Point’s race. For the second time this 2007 season, the Busch Series came to Bobby’s home track, The Nashville Superspeedway for a 300 mile race. When the checkered flag waved across the field, Hamilton had moved forward to seventh in the point’s race with a 13th place finish.
A long green flag run allowed Hamilton to move inside the top-five before the first pit stop of the day. Unfortunately, the team had trouble changing the front tires and dropped to 15th following the pit stop. For the remainder of the race, crew chief Chris Wright was forced to make pit stop decision to regain the lost positions. Wright tried two tire pit stops and was successful in placing Hamilton back inside the top five.
Next Saturday night, Hamilton will return to Kentucky Speedway where he will go for his second win at the 1.5 mile track.
is home cooking at mcdonalds for bobby hamilton jr? i'd rather stay on the road. my little one would be happy though. lol. we will be watching him run at kentucky.. i know you posted about it earlier but i was impressed with todd kluever too.
I thought the same thing about McDonald's. But Jr. owns a down home cafe (on the square in Springfield I believe) and a Sports Bar And Grill (in Goodletsville I believe) so who knows what the home cooking was.
He just isn't getting good enough finishes. It's pretty unbelievable that he is sitting seventh in points when his best finish in any race this season is ninth. Guys like Smith, Leffler, and Wimmer have three or four top-8 finishes.
I'm just telling it like it is, man. I was also trying to elaborate on your point that he's "slipped some", because SOME of the "Busch guys" have been getting into the top-5, but not Bobby Jr. He *is* ahead of Leffler in points, though, because Leffler's got a BUNCH of lousy finishes.
I did enjoy the feature they ran on Bobby Jr.'s sports bar during the race, though.
Your right. You just have to keep in mind that Bobby is my man and if he gives me any reason to put his name out there where I can gain him some more fans and/or find more people to discuss his progress, or lack thereof, with, that I am going to do that.
No, I know he is getting more Busch press than he deserves on Fox Sports Blogs as a result of my blog. But I will leave it to others to highlight their favorite Busch driver.
14falcons,
I would like to thank you for your input on my blog. You are right about the paragraphs in my posts I need them.
As for being against Nascar nothing would be further from the truth. Nascar has been in my life for years, next to hunting and the outdoors it's the only thing I had in common with my dad.
I just disagree with alot of their rules and calls during the season. They are the number one sport in the U.S. and I'm proud to have been apart of it for so long.
My posts are all updated and have paragraphs in them now. I just get to typing so much I don't pay much attention to my correct grammer. What so funny is English was one of my top classes. Thank you for your comment. I hope to here from you more.
Well that was a mighty professional response to my smart #### remarks. Your cool dude. It does help though. The easier your blog is to read, more people will read it, the more comments you will get and the more fun you will have. Cheers! Damn it!
