Only 11 Busch Series regulars have raced in all 12 Busch events this season.  By Busch regulars, I mean drivers who don't compete full-time in the Cup series.

Bobby Hamilton Jr., front, is the best of the Busch-only drivers.

The top six drivers in the standings are Buschwhackers, full-time Cup drivers moonlighting in Triple-A.  Carl Edwards is going to run away with the Busch championship, just as Kevin Harvick did last year.  But the true Busch champion at this point is Bobby Hamilton Jr.

At seventh in the standings, he's the highest ranking Busch regular.  Hamilton also drives for a stand-alone Busch team, something that is approaching extinction with the increased involvement of Cup teams.

Hey Jay Jay!  Blount agrees with me.  Wait a minute.  Did he cut and paste my blog?  Better yet, did he cut and paste some of yours?

I've got an idea. Let's reverse the track order for the Busch series. Carl and Kevin, and all the other Cup guys in Busch can race in the parking lot if the need still exists. It's like putting Jaromir Jagr in a Hartford Wolfpack jersey. Playing with guys out of your league can help, but if they're leagues out of your league, it just hurts you.

I say we start a petition.

What's funny is, I actually e-mailed him after I read that, but he never e-mailed back. Typical.

We're only a couple of weeks away from seeing who tries the Pocono/Nashville-double. I'll be interested to see who else besides Edwards goes for it.

EDIT: The "Jay Jay"-tag. LMAO

Carl will be the only one I imagine. Watch how much closer the racing between him and Bobby will be without Carl getting extra practice. In fact, the extra travel for Carl might even balance out the Rousch support he gets at Nashville. Throw in it is Bobby's home track and it might even be an advantage for Bobby. Imagine that.

Perhaps I'd believe that more if they hadn't just raced there a few weeks ago with Carl winning by over four seconds and Bobby in ninth.

Bobby said he felt that things were a lot fairer at that race though. Bobby does well at the track. The track, Bobby Sr.'s place and the BHR shop are all right there near Lebanon. You know how things can vary in racing though. We will see.

I'll drink to that.. Bartender. Pass me another Pepsi lite..

Yep Bobby is doing well against the wackers.. Just wished he could have the same grade of equipment that the wacker get and see what happens. Would make it a more even playing field..
