Hendrick Haters
Apr 24, 2007 | 5:53PM | report this

For those fans affectionately known as Hendrick Haters, this has not been a banner year.  So how good are the Hendrick cars?  In a season dominated by Chevrolet, Hendrick's top three are clearly the class of the field.  Hendrick has five wins in eight races, including a sweep of the COT starts, and looks to be unstoppable

How much longer before the buzz from the Ford and / or Dodge camps becomes a full-throat roar, wanting a change here or a tweak there to help even the competition?   The Ford camp remains all Roush all the time.  The Dodge folks must be wondering if they'll catch a break before it's too late.

Not a big fan of HMS. I just really dislike the whining. I've never heard guys like Jeff Green or Scott Riggs cry as hard as Gordon or Johnson. Granted, a lot of folks barely recognize the former as quality drivers. Oh well. Every dog has the sun shine on it's butt once in a while.

The Chevy camp, and particularly HMS, definitely have a head up on the competition this season. I'm gonna go ahead and wager we've got half the field in Chevies, and half in another make. That said, it's no wonder why the Impala's scoot. Greater quantity and, to an extent, quality of drivers and crew helps.

Hey Falcons!!

As a Hendrick's fan in general, and a Gordon fan in particular.... they certainly seem to have their feces in one sock... although we should note, Rick H. had a large hand in the development of the COT project.
I think that the HMS crews are really working together this year... sharing info, and technology, and what-not.... a multi-car team has got to do this to survive in todays NASCAR atmosphere... this ain't our grand-paw's racin' anymore...

Nice piece!!!

Yep. The Hendricks teams have been a power house. Adds fire to the fuel and an old racing parable. How fast you go depends on how much you can spend.

Man, that's one great looking photo:) Gordon is simply on fire. Good for him as I felt his mind was stressed for a while with the expensive break from the ex. What blew me away was that she wanted to share some things for an opportunity to hang around. Great to see him back. Enjoyed the post.

Frankly some of use don't see it as Hendricks haters. Maybe Jeffo gordon and Jimmy Johnson dislikers is more like it. No one on the circuit crys and whines like Jeff and Jimmy well Maybe Kyle bush.

some of us find it terriably unsettling when jeff for example wins under "YELLOW" and acts like he really accomplished something. Jeff has more wins under yellow than any other driver.

Hendricks has the money, therefore he with the most money can win, especially if he is paying off people. Can that happen? Sure it can and most likely does.

Just think if tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin would team up like Jeffy and Jimmy. They would be unbeatabl, period. Or Tony and Jr. maybe. Jeff isn't really that good of a driver.

tony,

You just mentioned you don't like three of the four Hendrick drivers. You sound like a Hendrick Hater.

JGR is probably the second best team in NASCAR right now behind Hendrick. Look for Hamlin and Stewart to team up in a race in the near future for a win. Did you not notice they both were up front dicing for the win as well?

DEI is simply not a good team right now.

By the way, all the drivers you mentioned are pretty even. They are also most of the top drivers in the sport today. Sure, the one that gets the best equipment will win, once your down to the best drivers. That's always been the case. The key is, if you are one of those drivers, to get yourself in the best equipment one way or the other.
