when the 2008 MLB started, i was appaled when the angels made a move for tori hunter. I said from day one, that the angels would win the world series (off the record). when they made a move for 'big tex' tiexria (sp) it made my pick even more legit. as hard as it was to pick a team from the rangers division to win it all, again, was very difficult for me. however, after the angels have cliched (almost months ago it seems) my opinion has changed. today, september 26th, the rangers whooped the angels 12 to 1 in john lackeys worst start of HIS CAREER. there could be no worse time for this to happen for the first team to clinch their division and a playoff spot. john lackey said after the game, obviously concerned more with his first start against the red sox, that ''this will not affect my games against boston''. after this performance, agaisnt a non competitor whos loses on a regular basis to the red sox (the rangers) im led to believe that the angels will not win the world serious, let alone the first round agaisnt boston. so! here are my updated world series picks! national league: los angelas dodgers (suprise team, and joe torre owning the fuckin yanks) american league: boston red sox (continuing the demolishon of the 'curse' that they love to blame their losing seasons on)
