Chicago is restored with faith. The Bears could do it. There was a good chance. The win against Denver is a momentum game. People in Chicago- Illinois in general-are faithful. Rex is doing better. The recievers are doing better. The O-Line is doing better. The defense is doing better (kind of). It is all coming together.

The Bears lose to the Giants. Are they out of it? Maybe not. Many other teams lot, too. They could still do it. Beat the Redskins, and you restore faith.

Rex is hurt. He was doing so good and he's hurt. His rough career coninues. He was injured the first years of his career. Comes back, "leads" the team to the Super Bowl. Loses it for them. Next year gets hit by critics. Gets benched. Comes back. Does better. Gets injured.

A huge sigh goes through the house of all Bears fans. No playoffs. Frusteration is flying. Expectations were not met. Is this franchise downfalling? Will the Bears go into hibernation? Is it just the curse of the Super Bowl loser?

Bears fans don't want that. Football is big in Chicago. Some live for it. Some just enjoy it. But in Illinois it's big. The Bears need to step it up next year.

The saddest of possible words.

Many NFC NFL teams have a 5-7 record after this week in football. Many teams contending for the Wild Card lost. A week of ruined seasons? Maybe not. The Vikings, Giants, and Lions are in the race right now, with .500 records or above. But what id a couple of those teams fall out? Any of them could. The Lions probably will, the Giants are a little shakey, and the Vikings are charging, but there is two Wild Card spots. Fans, don't give up! Your 5-7 NFC team can still make the playoffs! Here are those 5-7 teams:

1. Washington Redskins.

2. Philly Eagles.

3. Chicago Bears.

4. Carolina Panthers.

5. New Orleans Saints.

There is a very good chance that one or two of these teams will make the playoffs.

Green Bay 27, Dallas 37, Final: Thought I'd do a little review of this game. Favre out with an arm injury. Hit his funny bone hard, but should be better by next week, separated left shoulder which he'll play through. Despite a pleasant performance by Aaron Rogers, Favre should play next week. Romo and company get it done, though.

Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings: The opposite tems. The Lions are falling, and the Vikings appeared to be rising as of last week, in a very undecided NFC wildcard race. The Vikes should come out on top in a place that isn't as tough to play in as it used to be, but is still no fun. My Pick: Minnesota Vikings.

New York Giants @ Chicago Bears: The game I look at the most. Two teams that aren't rivals, but we know the people of NYC and Chicago aren't so fond of eachother off the field.

The Bears want to be, and are in the Wild Card race. The Giants are leading that race. It should be a big game.

The Soldier Field crowd will get into it, and that will most deffinitely make a difference. But that's not all the difference.

Devin Hester will run back at LEAST once if you kick it to him. So call NYC and tell them not to be as stupid as Mike Shanahan is.

Rex Grossman will be starting the ball game and has shown improvement since being sat on the bench.

Adrian Peterson is in at RB instead of Cedric Benson because of a Benson injury. Benson was starting to turn it on, but Peterson came up big in some of last week's game. Bear fans are showing a lot of confidence in Peterson.

Vasher and the other defensivemen are still out, and will not be playing. The defense needs to play like they did at the end of last weeks game in order to win.

The race for the Wild Card id on, and a Bear loss will get them closer to being out of the picture, if not completely out.

The race is between the Giants, Lions, Bears, Vikings, Cardinals, and Saints. Both the teams in this game want it bad. There are two spots, but many teams. The race begins.

The Bears have the momentum, and the Giants don't. The Giants have the ability to bounce back, but the momentum is too much of a difference between the two teams.

This time, for a different team. The Bears showed they had what it takes to come up clutch on Sunday. They have the willpower to do it and with a little bit of luck, they can.

The Vikings beat up on the Giants last week, and Da Bears play them this week. The Giants are leading the wild card, so if the Bears can win this week and win the rest of their games, it looks like they can do it. Here's why:

1. The Giants got killed by Minnesota on Sunday. Is this the fall of the Giants? If it is, there's one team down.

2. The Lions are in front of the Bears in the wild card, too. The Lions have been losing a lot lately, and if the Lions fall, there's another team down.

3. The Bears and a few others (Saints, Cardinals, Vikings) that have 5-6 records. The Bears still have games left against the Giants, Saints, and Vikings. These are all teams in the hunt.

If the Bears can get on a win streak, and hope a few others fall, then you may see them in the playoffs this winter.
