Big NCAA FB Games:

7 Ohio State @ 23 Michigan: The battle for the Big Ten. Both coming off of frusterating losses, it should be a good game. Ohio State is mad about falling out of the BCS picture. My Pick: OSU.

Northwestern @ 20 Illinois: Battle for a big bowl, inner-state rivalry, both coming off of upsets. MIGHT be a good game. NU is a streaky team. Their on and they pull an upset, or they shut off in the 4th quarter. Illinois knows they need a big game to get a big-name bowl, and NU knows they need a win to get into a bowl (despite already gaining elligibility). My Pick: Illinois.

22 Kentucky @ 8 Georgia: Two top 25 teams. Georgia's got home-field, and they appear the better team. My Pick: Georgia (although I don't know enough southern FB to completely analyze this game).

Duke @ Notre Dame: Does this game deserve to be on the list? Well, it's on national TV. A brakout game for the Irish (similar to the UCLA game, but a blowout because that was UCLA, this is Duke). Nothing much else to say. Blowout over frusteration for ND. My Pick: Notre Dame Fighting Irsh.

Penn St. @ Michigan St.: A close Big Ten game. Two teams trying to prove themselves. Look at the conference records, though. My Pick: PSU

It's a little late, but....

ILLINOIS HAS UPSET OHIO STATE!!! The whole state of Illinois is nuts. Everybody is happy about this years team and everybody is realizing what a great coach Ron Zook is. Everybody is happy until the BCS standings came out.

WHAT?!?

The word the entire state uttered. Number 20? We were higher than that after we beat Wisconsin! We beat OSU and....20?

Another episode of the BCS/Basketball officials treating the Big Ten like garbage. Wisconsin moved to 24 after they beat Michigan. Michigan was 14th. Sound like the same situation?

But the Illini beat their long time rival buckeyes, so it's all good. They're dancing on the streets!!!

Northwestern is a pretty good team, so the Illini should really perpare. NU beat IU Saturday.

Illinois fans: THIS IS FOR YOU!!!

We have seen what great things Ron Zook has done with this football team. He recruited freshmen early who are now juniors and seniors and all of it is paying off. He has taken this team and turned it from the laugh of the Big Ten to a team that's playing for a big bowl and has just upset Ohio State!!!
