    The week of ruined seasons....almost.

Monday, December 3, 2007, 07:07 PM EST [General]

Many NFC NFL teams have a 5-7 record after this week in football. Many teams contending for the Wild Card lost. A week of ruined seasons? Maybe not. The Vikings, Giants, and Lions are in the race right now, with .500 records or above. But what id a couple of those teams fall out? Any of them could. The Lions probably will, the Giants are a little shakey, and the Vikings are charging, but there is two Wild Card spots. Fans, don't give up! Your 5-7 NFC team can still make the playoffs! Here are those 5-7 teams:

    1. Washington Redskins.

    2. Philly Eagles.

    3. Chicago Bears.

    4. Carolina Panthers.

    5. New Orleans Saints.

There is a very good chance that one or two of these teams will make the playoffs.

    Don't give up.

    Week 13 NFC North Predictions

Friday, November 30, 2007, 04:56 PM EST [General]

Green Bay 27, Dallas 37, Final: Thought I'd do a little review of this game. Favre out with an arm injury. Hit his funny bone hard, but should be better by next week, separated left shoulder which he'll play through. Despite a pleasant performance by Aaron Rogers, Favre should play next week. Romo and company get it done, though.

Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings: The opposite tems. The Lions are falling, and the Vikings appeared to be rising as of last week, in a very undecided NFC wildcard race. The Vikes should come out on top in a place that isn't as tough to play in as it used to be, but is still no fun. My Pick: Minnesota Vikings.

    CORRECT

New York Giants @ Chicago Bears: The game I look at the most. Two teams that aren't rivals, but we know the people of NYC and Chicago aren't so fond of eachother off the field.

The Bears want to be, and are in the Wild Card race. The Giants are leading that race. It should be a big game.

The Soldier Field crowd will get into it, and that will most deffinitely make a difference. But that's not all the difference.

Devin Hester will run back at LEAST once if you kick it to him. So call NYC and tell them not to be as stupid as Mike Shanahan is.

Rex Grossman will be starting the ball game and has shown improvement since being sat on the bench.

Adrian Peterson is in at RB instead of Cedric Benson because of a Benson injury. Benson was starting to turn it on, but Peterson came up big in some of last week's game. Bear fans are showing a lot of confidence in Peterson.

Vasher and the other defensivemen are still out, and will not be playing. The defense needs to play like they did at the end of last weeks game in order to win.

The race for the Wild Card id on, and a Bear loss will get them closer to being out of the picture, if not completely out.

The race is between the Giants, Lions, Bears, Vikings, Cardinals, and Saints. Both the teams in this game want it bad. There are two spots, but many teams. The race begins.

The Bears have the momentum, and the Giants don't. The Giants have the ability to bounce back, but the momentum is too much of a difference between the two teams.

    My Pick: Chicago Bears.

    INCORRECT

Why the Bears are still in the playoff hunt

Monday, November 26, 2007, 07:37 PM EST [General]

    I believe.

This time, for a different team. The Bears showed they had what it takes to come up clutch on Sunday. They have the willpower to do it and with a little bit of luck, they can.

The Vikings beat up on the Giants last week, and Da Bears play them this week. The Giants are leading the wild card, so if the Bears can win this week and win the rest of their games, it looks like they can do it. Here's why:

    1. The Giants got killed by Minnesota on Sunday. Is this the fall of the Giants? If it is, there's one team down.

    2. The Lions are in front of the Bears in the wild card, too. The Lions have been losing a lot lately, and if the Lions fall, there's another team down.

    3. The Bears and a few others (Saints, Cardinals, Vikings) that have 5-6 records. The Bears still have games left against the Giants, Saints, and Vikings. These are all teams in the hunt.

If the Bears can get on a win streak, and hope a few others fall, then you may see them in the playoffs this winter.

    I believe.

    Top 5 Sports Rivalries

Sunday, November 25, 2007, 07:01 AM EST [General]

There are many rivalries in sports. Great ones, weak ones, mean ones, friendly ones. But they're all great. Here are the top 5 rivalries in ALL of sports.

    5. Chicago Cubs vs. Chicago White Sox: The Crosstown rivalry, the battle for the Chi. This rivalry was enflamed even more recently when the Barrett/AJ fight happened, which got it onto this list. Wars of words on YouTube are recent enflamings, also.

    4. Indiana Pacers vs. Detroit Pistons: We all know about the fight of a couple years ago. That was quite a fight. That is why this is such a rivalry.

    3. Duke Blue Devils vs. North Carolina Tar Heels: This is where students camp outside of the arena and party all night. In the morning they go in and party more. This is the best college rivalry in the country.

    2. Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees: Another rivalry with a history of fights, the great bambino, and meeting often in the ALCS. Two teams that make trades often with eachother. Best rivalry in the MLB.

    1. Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears: This rivalry has a history, a present, and a future. Back when George Halas coached the Bears and Vince Lombardi coached the Packers, two great coaches, they wouldn't shake hands after the game. In the 60's through 80's there were songs and slogans made up about the other team. Tis rivalry is so big that not only the fans, but all the people of Illinois have a rivalry with those of Wisconsin. This is your number one rivalry.

Weekend Football Predictions: NFC North Week 11 (not all games)

Friday, November 16, 2007, 08:25 PM EST [General]

    NFL Week 11:

Carolina @ Green Bay: GB has been playing well, and Carolina is having a down season. Pack beat 'lina close. My Pick: GB, sadly.

Oakland @ Minnesota: The Metrodome isn't what it used to be, but the Radiers can't handle it. I still hate the Vikes and Pack, but they'll win this week. Peterson is hurt, but it's the Raiders, and the Metrodome is still on the Vike's side. My Pick: Minnesota, sadly.

NY Giants @ Detroit: Everybody thinks Detroit is headed downhill. I think not. Detroit is back at home, where they've been VERY good. My Pick: Detroit.

DA BEARS @ Seattle: Ok, here it goes. The game I analyze most.

The Bears are coming off a big win at Oakland. Yes, it's just the Raiders, but it was a big momentum win and the boys now think they can do it, which is most important.

Rex is going to start, which I think is a good move. He threw a big TD pass to win the game vs. Oakland. He has a lot of confidence.

The defense is back, holding Oakland to only six points. Yes, I say it again, it's just the Raiders, but that is huge. The defense has been banged up and this is a huge confidence booster.

Seattle coming off a huge win vs. SF, and has big homefield advantage. Can they stand up against the charging Bears?

My Pick: DA BEARS, but it'll be hard.
