Carlos Zambrano is under a one year contract right now but the Cubs are trying to sign him to a multi-year deal. The Cubs are offering 11.5 million dollars but Big Z wants 15.5 mill. This is the big news surrounding Cubs training camp, since the only other thing Jim Hendry has to offer is 135 mill to Soriano. However, if the Cubs can't deal with Z before tomorrow afternoon, they will go to court and a judge will decide Z's contract, arbitration. Big Z says that they'll work something out, though.
