Its Heisman time that time when everyones opinion has abosultely no meaning. Who should win? Who cares. While the award may look good on your shelf at home and your mom would proud but not really understand what it is, your dad would extol all your accomplishments from the time you could walk, before all the kids on the block, or talk, or the first time you picked up a football and dad knew then you would be someone when you a mere  8-months old and dad standing there with a tear in his eye.

This year it's all about Reggie Bush, Vince Young, and Matt Leinart.

Okay, Leinart the pretty boy that the AP whinners just love and have made him into this greatest QB ever with super human quarterbacking skills and who is able to follow the plays sent in from the sideline. Who woulda thunk it? I predict that Leinhart will get drafted but who could he play for? With his ego its going to be hard for him to succeed in the NFL. I would love to see him in Miami and watch Nick Sabans veins protrude and eventually explode. And we all remember that last QB Heisman winner... what was his name? Or the guy picked by San Diego that was who? While not a Heisman winner you get the point.

Okay Reggie Bush. Well he is a great tale back and is far more deserving than his teammate Leinhart. The kid, lets face, is legit. An all around back (needs to work on some blocking skills) has good hands, good feet, great speed, can see the field and makes smart decisions. Thats what you want. He is a gamer.

Okay Vince Young. A friend of mind told me that the only player Texas has is Vince Young. Well if thats the case Vince has done one outstanding job this year. Offensively Texas is not as loaded as USC so I would think this would sway some of the voters to consider Young ahead of Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart.

If I was a voter I would not have even put Leinart in my top three. There all other deserving choices like that kid that plays for that team that wears that number or that other kid on that other team that made those interceptions. You know who I'm talking about.... Please...

    I predict that Bush wins...

LSU's loss to Georgia in the SEC championship game should not have come to any surpise to any LSU fan. LSU struggled all year trying to find, as those coaches and pundits like to say, thier identity. But what they lacked was a killer instinct, cohesive game planning and discipline.

It seemed to me that the players and coaches for the most part looked like a bunch of cows staring at new gate, knowing what it is but just can't understand why, as they lower their heads and meander back to do what they do.

After spending the year listening the the articulate coach Miles he reminds of the governor of Lousiana, both seem to need either a speech writer or an ear phone so someone can tell them what to say. The rumbling, stumbling, bumpling brings on a whole new meaning.

So the governor needs to resign and LSU could use "Less" Miles and he should maybe consider the warmer climes of Colorado.

SInce you brought it up my favorite pro football player T.O., as in time out, needs to sit down and LISTEN to all his comments he has made over the lets say since he was fortunate enough to be slected to be in the NFL. I would say since he became a PROFESSIONAL athlete but I think we can leave the word professional out of any sentence that has T.O. in it. I have heard more articulate arguments from people I have seen on COPS.

Since you brought it up who are these people that say the Packers need to sit Brett Favre? Lets throw Rogers in and see how he does. Last thing that kid probably wants to do right now is stand behind an offensive line that seems to be moving in wet cement so he can be pumbled. The problem is not with Favre but with poor player selection and player management. Granted the team has injuries this year and they are depleted in key areas. But if Favre does not have time to throw the ball and the recievers keep dropping passes how can any team succeed. Hey why don't we get Peyton Manning? It's obvious that the packers are not  deep with talent and that needs to be addressed this off season.

Since you brought it up I predict that Texas will win the national championship. Why you ask. Frankly cause I am sick of the love affair that the sports whinners have with USC. If Texas's defense shows up and smacks around the sun soaked California reading their own press then Texas should win because USC's defense is not that good and everyone keeps saying how good the PAC 10 is and I just don't see it.
