Not only did LSU beat UConn they demolished, destroyed embarrassed them. I guess when the UConn coach called the regular season just a "dress rehearsal" and the players publicly diss'd the LSU team it gave LSU reason to show the nation and everyone else vying for the final two spots and Rutgers reason to take pause. A sleeping tiger has been awoken and with Hightower hitting her stride and Fowls, the most dominate player in the woman's college game, not only getting double doubles throughout the year but disrupting the offense of the other teams it could be trouble for others in the final four. UConn made one critical mistake and that was underestimating LSU and team that has something to prove after the turmoil of the past 4 weeks that this team is in it to win and not fade away as many said they would.

The UConn players looked confused troubled and completely in awe of LSU's Fowl's as she single handedly manhandled every UConn player that came within her range. Many times after she out hustled and manhandled UConn the UConn players just stood around as the LSU team ran down the court to set up its defense. Team UConn seemed like they dressed up for a basketball clinic and watched as they were completely schooled by LSU.
