"So it has been said so it shall be done." Take it to the bank; no matter if the Buckeyes lose a game they will be in the national championship game. Even an overrated USC even if they loose will be in if the voters have anything to say about. Why? Because it's the game the voters want. The only way you will not see USC or the Buckeyes is if Auburn goes on tare the rest of the season and just chokes the life out of every team they face here on out.

I want everyone to recall the BCS championship game of 2003 between LSU and Oklahoma. The AP wanted OU and USC and that was proven with their year end vote. In 04 that's what they got and OU got beat twice. So what did the AP do at the end of the 03 championship, they went AWOL and said if they can't decide, solely, then they will not be part of the BCS. So the BCS changed the formula from the strength of schedule counting as a large portion of the calculation to being regulated to a minor thought in the process.

This way the AP voters, like a pack of guineas, vote in their collective block to prop up their teams so they can get the game they want. If their team does not win they will still vote them the "AP national chumps." I think the AP is slowly loosing credibility with the fans, unless they are voting your team on top right USC!

So let's get serious and change to a playoff system. The schools, AP, BCS, and TV really do not want this because they can't see beyond their collective pre-op lasik procedure but in the near short term it will create a better system, and help some of the smaller I-A schools with much needed financial boost.
