    It's baseball season...

Thursday, April 19, 2007, 09:00 AM EST [Baseball]

and why do I not care? I like baseball. Played when I was a kid and have some great memories pitching. Watched the game for years and enjoy going to watch some teams play during the year. I think what is getting me down are how long the games seem to drag on now and all the media negativity and the negativity and the lackluster enthusiasm during the season. Is the season too long? Are their far too many teams today? Are the salaries so bloated for an average player that we longer care? Or maybe its today's players that just no longer create the positive image of the game of years gone by?

Maybe I am becoming like most fans today of the game and only get interested when the playoffs begin and I get to see the top teams compete for the title? Or maybe the league, players, and media have destroyed the game as we once knew it?
