Two Ecuadorian World Cup soccer players win overseas contracts
July 27, 2006

Winger Luis Fernando Saritama and defender Jorge Guagua, Ecuador's World Cup squad member for the 2006 event, have won oversea contracts, local television reported on Wednesday.
Saritama leaves Deportivo Quito for Mexican team Tigres, while Guagua moves from El Nacional to Argentina's Colon.
"The most important thing is that I have this opportunity and I am going to a professional club which gives me a chance to win," Saritama told local television.
His team has already given him time off to arrange some last minute personal matters before going to Mexico, and his agent, Luis Aguerre, said the two parties had already come to a verbal agreement on terms.
Saritama will sign the contract in Mexico on Thursday at a meeting with the Mexican Football Federation and Tigres.
The same day, Guagua will travel to the Argentine city of Santa Fe to sign his contract.
