Nine nuggets as draft weekend approaches...

1. The Lance Briggs to Washington deal isn't remotely dead. 

2. Trent Edwards is a likely second round pick of the Lions.

3. Don't be surprised if Brian Leonard ends up in Green Bay or Philadelphia.

4. Zach Miller could go as high as Oakland in Round 2.  If he is there for the Panthers, he's a fit.

5. I think Michael Turner will get traded.

6. Eric Frampton, the Washington State safety, is a leader and a potent hitter.  He'll be a nice fit for a savvy coach and general manager on Day 2.

7. Victor Abiamiri might be a third round pick of the Patriots or Jets and play outside linebacker

8. Jordan Palmer could be a Day 2 selection of the Dallas Cowboys.

9. Troy Smith is on the Ravens board.
