For Eric Steinbach, it was love at first site in Cleveland.
The prized free agent told us on Monday, "As soon as I got to Cleveland I got the plan for the team and I liked it. I just felt a great vibe. I see the effort from the staff in getting this program back to a winning program. They are willing to do whatever it takes and as a player, that's attractive. It was just a good fit. I saw no reason to continue my other scheduled visits. I mean, the fans here are amazing. It's going to be something special when we win. Plus, it's close to my parents in Chicago and my parents are going to be in the Dawg Pound!"
Steinbach also reports he doesn't know what position he will play on the line and will do anything to help the team.
And Steinbach is already thinking about the Browns third pick in the draft. "It's a win-win situation. We are guaranteed to walk away with either Adrian Peterson, Brady Quinn, or this Thomas kid (that's Joe Thomas from Wisconsin) in the first round. We are getting either a star back, quarterback, or tackle. All 3 can help the offense right away and make us a powerhouse."
