Dear Absolute Best Sports Blog readers, I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who have complimented and supported my blog and me during my short stint as a finalist in the Next Great Sportswriter II contest. Also, I want to give a special thanks to Tom, Peter, Dime and Fox Sports for giving me the opportunity in the first place. My elimination came as a surprise, but not as a complete shock considering that the rest of the field was made up of extremely talented writers.
