chapter 3-Is Brady hurt? Or playin' 'possum?-Updated

Tuesday, January 22, 2008, 10:39 AM EST [General]

A response to Brady seen in what appears to be walking cast

The Boston Herald and Boston Globe had the photos - credited to infphoto.com - on their Web sites. A video of Brady walking with a slight limp from an SUV to girlfriend Gisele Bundchen's apartment in New York is available on TMZ.com.

"There will be treatment this week. In games like this, you get a little nicked up. It's nothing serious."

This may be a huge 'psych'.

Looking at the photo it appears (to me) like he was not willing to let the 'cast' be readily seen. Is he trying to 'hide' the possible injury?

Or is it part of the grand plan to make him appear to have a weakness?

Trying to fiddle the point spread so they can 'cover' this one?

     Update

    False alarm?

Hours after being photographed with a walking boot on his right foot as he followed girlfriend Gisele Bundchen into her New York apartment on Monday, other pictures showed the New England Patriots quarterback wearing black shoes - and no boot - when he showed up at a New York hotspot.(AP)

Now what are they up to?

    This just in

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick stayed true to form Thursday, refusing to discuss Tom Brady's health a few days after the quarterback was photographed limping through New York with a cast on his right foot.

"I don't have any comment on it. I don't have any comment on it," he said in a news conference before the Patriots held their first practice in preparation for the Feb. 3 Super Bowl against the New York Giants.

    Will Brady practice?

"We'll go out there. I don't know," Belichick said with a grin, seeming to delight in being nonresponsive.

"The injury report will be out next Wednesday and we're excited to get that to you," he said to laughter from reporters, "filled out completely and I can't wait to get that to you because I know you're anxious for it."

    january 25 2008

For the second consecutive day, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady wasn't in the locker room or at practice when reporters and cameramen were allowed inside Friday.

Some rule changes. What say you?

Monday, January 21, 2008, 03:48 PM EST [General]

A response to NASCAR announces slight changes to rules

Under the new format, all the drivers will now make their attempt at the end of the session.

The end? Doesn't that give them a better chance of being rained out? (ok maybe not- see below)

On pit road, the crew will be allowed to push the car just three pit box lengths to get it moving after a service stop.

Added for photogr- see comment below

NASCAR also announced it will donate all money collected through fines to the NASCAR foundation as a part of the sport's charitable initiative. The fines previously were put into the points fund that was split among the drivers at the end of the year. Fines usually average around $200,000 a season, but the amount was close to $1 million last year as NASCAR cracked down on violations.

They decided to donate the funds to THEMSELVES?

I know there needed to be some changes, but I see possible problems with these three.

    And you my fellows?

    My .02 CC's

    My .02CC's

    Disclaimer:

Paraphrasing and inaccuracies may appear anywhere in this post.

I am not attacking any one person/place/thing/blogger/commenter/post. Y'all keep writing what you are writing, I'll keep reading.

    Hot Topics

    MLB players are outed.

    They've been using what? Drugs?

    College student/Athletes are under-educated.

    They are cheating on tests?

NFL players are breaking the law.

And they think they are above recrimination?

Coaches are looking to the highest bidder.

They aren't in it for the love of the game? It's a money deal? They are cheating ?

No  sport has a playoff systemn that the fans approve of whole-heartedly.

    It's not fair!!

And don't forget Television coverage of EVERY SINGLE SPORT leaves a lot to be desired.

It's not as good as being there?

Most of these issues are the same as you telling me that my neighbor and good friend is 'a little light in the loafers'

Heck he is gay (read bleep as politically correct term for non-heterosexual)-flamingly so (and a great hairdresser btw)

    And your point is............................................?

All of these revelations are no brainers. They make great debate topics and headlines, but seriously except for some individual names, did any of these stories tell you anything you didn't already know?

Is any of this going to change anything? Really?

Don't get me wrong I don't have a solution for any of the planets ails. (well maybe one but that is not important)

Granted I am not explaining in depth each of these issues. Others here have done so quite prolifically. I do hope they continue to do so.

One of the issues I wanted to address is the fact that there are people in the know that are touting OUTRAGE yes, outrage that  so-and-so was cheating or breaking the law or doing drugs or selling out or boinking bambi.

They knew all along. Hell we did how could they not?

Do they really think that a thinking person (such you, esteemed reader/blogger) believes their denials and their outrage?

Are they outraged because so-and-so did these awful things? Or just that he/she/it got caught?

Or could it be they too have a skeleton in the closet?

    That's my .02 CC's

Read someone you never read before! You may find a new friend.

I will now take a chance and hit send.

    SomeThings You Missed...............

Wednesday, December 5, 2007, 01:42 PM EST [General]

Now that I have your attention..........................

If I am recognized at all, it's in the NASCAR neighbourhood of this little community. But it is the off season and I have been doing a lot of random reading around this site.

There are a lot of good writers here that have written articles that have gone un noticed (some have 0 comments ).

I have 'borrowed' a very good idea from Marty Walker's currently archived "Daily Game Balls" (I think college football kidnapped him)

    to bring to your attention.....................................................

     Some Things You Missed

The Sports Comedian  (check it every day=something new)

Knowledge is Good  (remember to read his bio LOL)

The Inferno with the Dark Firebird  (seems fairly new around here- worth reading)

    The Woodshe

(I just found this one today)

    The Thinking Mans's Rant

noahspop2001  just posted a new one

(I had to sneak one NASCAR related in)

Granted most of the bloggers listed have a comedic side to their posts. Obviously that is my preference.

Any writer that can keep my attention on a subject I have little knowledge in and teach me something about the game/sport gets my vote!

     Give them a read!

When I read something I like I will read their older stuff too.

Note to Bloggers: If you don't respond to comments, you might not get as many.

If you feel you-or anyone you read regularly- should be included in this list LET ME KNOW!

    .

There are a dozen others I could name here but they all get good coverage in the comments department so I will let you find them yourself if you haven't yet.

If you haven't found it yet

     Fox Funhouse

Is a great place to check for interesting stuff everyday too!

BTW GGW Racing has been busy if you need a racing fix check

     out these posts.

    INTRO

    Part ONE

    smack talk
