This is just the possibilty I think there is of certain trades with Lamar Odom.  I got the idea from a fannation blog on SI.com.

1) Lamar Odom to Nuggets for Carmelo Anthony

Odds: 10:1

Carmelo Anthony is a far superior player to Odom, but if the Nuggets want to rebuild then getting a big expiring contract would help.  Iverson's contract is expiring after this season also, so this trade would give them a lot of money for the 2010 offseason.  The Lakers would be stupid not to take a player of Carmelo's talent for Odom.

2) Lamar Odom and filler to Heat for Shawn Marion

Odds: 15:1

The Heat don't really want to keep Marion, and they really like Odom so this could work.  The Lakers might want a more traditional SF so they could do this deal.

3) Lamar Odom to Bobcats for Jason Ricardson and Sean May

Odds: 20:1

The only problem for the Lakers would be that they get another shooting guard, but since J-Rich and Kobe can play SF and SG they could just switch off playing each position.  It also gives the Lakers a good backup big man.  This probably wouldn't happen though.

4) Lamar Odom to Rockets for Ron Artest and filler

Odds: 30:1

If the Rockets are imploding because of Artest they would want to trade him, and since the Lakers might want him if they aren't doing well either trade works but Rockets would have to add a big contract to make it work.

5) Lamar Odom doesn't get traded

Odds: 5:1

I don't think Odom will get traded unless the tall lineup doesn't work and he refuses to be a 6th man or the Nuggets offer Carmelo Anthony.
