Quick blog this time. Of the 4, or 3 and a half, major pro sports I know the least about the NBA. The reason for this is that there is no local team here in Pittsburgh, unless you want to root for the Cavaliers. But I'd rather root for Al Qaeda than a Cleveland team, so that's out. But there's a recent development that has even a guy like me talking about the NBA, that would be Pat Riley pretty much saying "Okay, go away" to Stan Van Gundy, making himself coach. Oh yeah, they're saying San "the Man" Van "Bundy" Gundy is resigning, for familial reasons, and that Pat even wanted him to stay on as coach.

This is what's known as a load of bull-dink. Everyone knew this was coming from the day the Heat's playoff run ended last season, it was just all a matter of when. And now that it's happened they don't even have the respect for us to tell us exactly what it is. "Family reasons" is just another term for "We couldn't actually cause cancer, so we'll just be vague". And now the Heat are loaded up with too many malcontents, a broken down Hall of Fame center, and one of the best players in the league playing out of position. I'm not exactly sure why Pat Riley wants to coach this team, but can it really be worth looking like a complete slime-ball? Time will tell

And if it turns out there is actually a family thing going on with the Van Gundy's I'll feel bad. But for now I'll remain suspicious
