    Halloween Derby? Are you kidding....

Monday, October 30, 2006, 08:15 PM EST [General]

Not only is ESPN's MNF game a borefest, that was just the silliest thing I have ever seen.

Yes, Minnesota, you should boo, I mean it is Halloween-Eve.

That and your team is getting their collective A$$es whooped. Can the Vikes step it up and pull off the biggest comeback in the second half - comeback down to earth, you are good in the NFC, but the AFC is out of your league.

Is New England once again the best team in the AFC, possibly the NFL? Anyone got a comment on this?

Take Them Seriously:My Week 8 picks

Sunday, October 29, 2006, 01:54 AM EST [General]

I first of all take this time to remember Arnold "Red" Auerbach. An icon, a legend, gone at age 89. I don't usually try to predict the NFL games on here, but since I'm at work, and I get to work 13.5 hours tonight, thought I'd post my picks. San Francisco @ Chicago: This game looks like a blow-out on paper. And why shouldn't it? Both teams are coming off a bye though. I may have to give this one some thought. Nah. Chicago's at home which means if they score 10, they win. SF 7 CHI 30 Arizona @ Green Bay: For as bad as both teams have seemed, both teams aren't that bad. I mean as in Oakland Raider bad. Well, Since Oakland can brag about their win last week, I guess the Cards are that bad. I see Matt Leinart the California guy not having such a good day in the cold Great Lakes area, but I see a win. AZ 16 GB 14 Seattle @ Kansas City: No Hasselback, no Alexander? No Problem! Big Problem: you are at Arrowhead! SEA 17 KC 31 Tampa Bay @ New York Giants: This one wouldn't have been intriguing a few weeks ago, but both teams have stepped up and answered the call. Look for the Giants D to be too much for the passing or running game. TB 13 NYG 24 St. Louis @ San Diego: Wow, what a must win for both teams! What approach will St. Louis take offensively? I may have gone the other way had the Ram's had home field. STL 28 SD 38 Indianapolis @ Denver: Best game of the day? Possibly. Have the Colts returned on offense just in time to play against the leagues best defense? Have the Broncos enough fire power through the air (very thin air I should add) to keep it close should they fall behind? Which they will. Colts still find a way to torture Broncos. IND 24 DEN 20 Dallas @ Carolina: Romo's road test. I don't forsee it being a good one. What Panther's defense will show up? Panthers need this just as much as the Boys. DAL 16 CAR 23 Atlanta @ Cincinnatti: Simple for Falcons: just RUN baby. Bengals gotta find a way. Palmer/Johnson licking chops though: Throw baby Throw! ATL 35 CIN 38 Houston @ Tennessee: Houston impressed last week against Jags, can they do it again? I'm not putting money on it. Tennesse showing improvement. Houston narrowly misses chance to win back to back HOU 13 TEN 16 Baltimore @ New Orleans: Saints jazzy start takes a back pedal. Baltimore finds a way with whomever is throwing. BAL 17 NO 10 Jacksonville @ Philidelphia: Philly has bad taste in mouth. McNabb esp.after last weeks sideline gaffe. Jacksonville continues it's downward spiral. JAX 21 PHI 27 New York Jets @ Cleveland: Pennington finding stride. Cleveland just good enough to make it respectable. NYJ 20 CLE 16 Pittsburgh @ Oakland: Going out on a limb here, but Randy Moss will have big day. Pittsburg will continue to wonder how to win even when they play better than the other team. PIT 24 OAK 23 Monday Night New England @ Minnesota: Defining game for Minnesota? Defining loss for New England? Look for big plays from the Purple People Eaters NE 24 MIN 27 Well, there you go guys....good luck on your picks!
