If you post blogs on a sports website you are probably just like me and listen to sports talk radio every minute you are in your car except when the ball and chain is in the passenger seat. The personalities on the radio alone are hilarioius. Especially here in Houston they constantly talk about the local sports teams (Texans, Rockets, Astros) and the marquee players like they are there best friends. It's even better when they interview them because it sounds like they want man love from the guy but that's not the jist of this post. I want to focus on the caller. You have heard them all and here is a quick list of my favorites.

Mr. Impossile Trade: "Yeah, uh, what could the Texans do to trade up to get Vince, Reggie, and Mario Williams." Sometimes I think these people just want to here themselves on the radio.

Mr. Repeat Verbatim the Last Caller:" Uh do you think the Texans could get Vince and Reggie." Sure they can now not after the Host just blew the last guys theory out of the water.

Mr. Negative: "Houston will never win anything because ownership won't spend the money to get anyone." Actually the Houston Astros just broke the cusp of a 100 mil in payroll when they signed Roger.

Mr. Inside Scoop: "If Tracy McGrady's back hurts him so bad why is he playing in Beer league softball tournaments. My cousin's brother's sister's uncle's nephew's best friend's dog saw him playing last week." I'm sorry but I don't think he was driving the lane or diving out of bounds, plus it's hard for us normal people to imagine but ball players have lives too. And I haven't played in a beer league where anything hurt but my head the next day.

There are several others out there like Mr. Regular or Mr. I Forgot What I Was Going to Talk About, that I have not mentioned but you see where I'm going with this. A word to those out there who are Radio callers, put together a well though out speech before calling and make a point. Hopefully your point is not as absurd as the first two and don't call if you wet yourself everytime you speak publicly. I hate it when that happens.
