Barry Bonds is running down Babe Ruth's record. Or is he? I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist. I don't beleive in the DaVinci code or the New World Order but let' s just say when it comes to sports I have my doubts. Do basketball team owners force there team to tank games in the playoffs to extend series? That could mean higher revenues. Cha Ching! You ever notice how some plays just happen to end right on cue with a commercial break. Cha Ching. 

Now we have Barry, known for hating the media and people in general. But do you really think he hates his name in the press.  His steroid abuse, allegedly, was created by the homerun chase of McGwire and Sosa. He now has a (not so)reality show on ESPN and he has everyone waiting, frothing at the mouth, to hit 714. You don't think he could be easing his swing up just a bit to keep everyone's attention do you? You bet  your a$$ he is. Whether he is getting good publicity or bad publicity it all ends in the same thing, recognition. He wants to be one of the most storied ball players in history, he knows his good name is already tarnished, why not milk it for all it's worth and be the new Ty Cobb. Ty Cobb was a great ball player but everyone remembers him as a racist prick.

He will probably go yard on the Stros tonight now that I've said this but that's just because his people are reading my post and they know I have him figured out.
