I'm sitting here at work (not working) wondering if rooting for crap teams causes clinical depression. You ever watch a ball game and just feel sick when your team loses? Last year in the world series I watched the Astros do everything they could to lose by one or two runs. After game 4 I couldn't even go to sleep. I just layed there wallowing in my own misery. I've been a New Orleans Saints fan all my life and I remember watching a game when I was a kid. They were playing the San Francisco gay Niners (I still hate that team) and they never seemed that they could beat them. In this particular game Bobby Hebert marched the team across midfield and sure footed Morten Anderson lines up for a 53 yard field goal. He had never missed from that range previous to this game. I'm sure you know where I'm going with this. I actually cried. I don't think I need to see a shrink yet but if the Yankees keep stumbling over themselves and "breaking", I might have to consider it. I feel like I need a Xanax everytime I watch them. Luckily I live in the south and I'm to cheap to buy cable that I don't get to see many of the games. I'll venture to the local pub when they are playing a good series and I seem to drink myself stupid after Mo blows a save against the freakin Mets. Julio Franco could be my freakin grandfather and he is still hitting the ball. Someone needs to test that freak. Billy Wagner melting down on Saturday brought great joy in my life. Then Sunday Kelly Stinnet reverted back to acting like a little leaguer against him. I'm watching Wagner pitch and he doesn't look half as good as he did with the Stros. I hope they can pull it out. I kind of look at the injuries to Sheffield and Matsui as a slight blessing because it is forcing the Yankees to work there young talent. It's early in the season to start shooting up flares but something needs to change.
And because I'm lazy and hungover I'm going to tack this post on here.
AJ Pierzynski has added his name to my list of the most hated players. That guy should be grateful that they aren't playing the Cubs more every year because I would bean that MFer everytime he walked to the plate. I'd find the hardest throwing pitcher in my roster and bring him in just to hit that guy. Bulldozing the opposing catcher then slapping home plate like you are King Dingaling when you are blowing out the opposition is crap. Here's to you you piece of crap. May your ballsack get kicked in your throat for being a jerkoff.
