Our Under 21 squad managed to leave Belarus with a 1:1 draw but still trail their hosts by five points with 2 matches left to play. A win in their last match in Latvia will give Belarus the group and a berth in the Play-Offs. A loss coupled with two more wins for Serbia (in San Marino then hosting Hungry) will give the group to the Serbs.

Serbia can still qualify for the play-offs if they manage to win their last two games and finish as one of the four best 2nd place teams.

Serbia has been been quite sucessful in past U-21 Championship, finishing as runner-ups last year losing to hosts Holland in the finals.
