Fellow blogger bafongu makes a good case for taking the Michelle Wie hype machine down a notch, demonstrating that it's possible to criticize Wie without descending to playground-level rhetoric.  However, while his post raises a number of interesting points, I think it also has some issues that undercut his argument.   

The first problem with bafongu's post is that he chooses to start with her 2004 debut on the PGA Tour for his argument that she can't win.  The reality is that Michelle Wie's career, like Tiger Woods', started long before she began competing with the big boys.  A few highlights (source):
