A Day at the Races

[Portugal]
Horse racing is not my cup of tea. But it was nice having a day without any WC action. So I went down to the race track in Cologne.
I put money on Figo in the 2,200 meter race for over-four-year-olds. That's smart - or so I thought. Two years ago I had a lot of fun with a Portuguese hairdresser who tried to give me a Figo haircut. Check out the pictures from 2004.
This time the thoroughbred didn't meet my expectations, sixth place. My money? Gone. Backed the wrong horse.
I know he will not let me down again. The real Figo can do better than that - Wednesday, semi final in Munich, Portugal against France. I'll be there.
PS: Maybe I'll try out 'A Night at the Opera' next time.
