There's news today out of Blighty that Wayne Rooney used his crocked foot to kick a ball and that he might kick a ball again on Monday or alternatively kick 'golden balls' himself for saying that he'll be fit to participate. This naturally has set off the betting public with money flooding into the bookies that he'll play. The tension will only mount until he undergoes another scan on that pesky metatarsal. While some might attribute his apparent recovery to being young, I like to think it has more to do with the powers of a certain Eileen Drury, she of the Glenn Hoodle era.
