With the specter of hooligans http://members.tripod.com/~warlight/hooligans.html hovering over this World Cup, the English authorities are taking no chances especially at the airports. In a bid to stop the hard-core trouble makers from making the trip to Germany the police are stopping and questioning anybody that remotely looks like a fan.

Of course your's truly was pulled over at Heathrow Airport, I have no idea why!

Anyway this gave me the opportunity to ask the bobbies what they thought and find out whether there is going to be any trouble - the answer was very depressing. They told me that trouble will kick off and they are 100% certain it is going to happen.

It will certainly involve the following fans from the following countries: Poland, England, Holland, Croatia, Serbia & Montenegra and Germany but he did say it will be away from the stadiums..bummer eh. However he did add that the German police are well up for it and won't be taking any prisoners.
