Phew, France made hard work of this one. If they put together another display like this, Spain will make amends for the beating they suffered at the hands of Les Blues during Euro 2000. I'm sure Raul will take particular interest because the Spaniard missed a PK when the match was still in doubt during that tournament. Spain must go into that match as favorites though because as my chum, Hyder Jawad pointed out, France really are old-timers.

As the final whistle blows a couple of conga lines have formed at both ends of the stadium and the atmosphere is one of pure celebration for the sport I like to call the 'beautiful game'. If only it could be like this everytime....brilliant stuff!
