    USC's Troubles

Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 08:46 AM EST [USC Trojans]

There is one main reason that USC can't beat any Pac-10 teams.  They feel they really don't have to show up to beat these Pac-10 teams, but every time they go to out of conference games.  Last year USC lost only two games, against in conference opponents.  In every out of conference game last year, USC crushed Notre Dame, Michigan, Arkansas and  Nebraska this year.

USC is that team that plays down to the level of their conference competition, but every time they go out of conference, they absolutely destroy that team.

I thought this year that USC was going to lose to Arizona State this year, but when they lost to Stanford this past weekend, it was like the game the USC lost to Oregan State.  In both games USC was driving late and almost came back and won both games.

USC is the Curt Schilling of college football.  They don't really care about meaningless games, but when the spotlight is on them, they absolutely show up and are money every time they play in a high pressure game.  If USC makes it to the Rose Bowl this year, whoever they play will be in for a long day.  USC will play to their full potential in game that matter, because when they play in big TV games, they crush teams that don't even belong in the same league as them.

The Pac-10 is better than the SEC simply because the top Pac-10 teams will go play game across the country, while teams in the SEC, rarely leave that south.  Don't get me wrong, I love watching the SEC but they don't play teams from the midwest or the west coast unless they are playing at home.

If the SEC is good enough, they need to go across the nation and play the best teams in the country and prove it.

    Just a thought.
