A lot has been said about Michael Vick over the past months, and most of it hs been completely off base, with people completely ignoring the issue and coming to Vicks defense because of the previous opinions they have.  When people come to his defense based solely on the colour of his skin or because they believe that dogfighting is not that bad, or my personel favorite "They're just dogs, what is the big deal?", make them a person with an agenda and completely voids their opinion. 

Look at the issue people.  What Michael Vick did-and because he is pleading guilty we can drop the term "allegedly" from this situation-is a felony in 48 of the 50 States, Virginia is one of those states.

Stop comparing this to hunting, becaus ehunting requires extenisve liscensing, you must spend class time learning what you can and can't do, and you can only hunt certain times of the year.  I don't believe in hunting, but if you enjoy it, always be carefulk and don't pull a
Dick Cheney to anyone.

The star athletes, like Starbury and Clinton Portis have got to close their mouths on this issue, they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.  Starbury says it is a sports, but it is just done behind closed doors.  Hey Steph, there is a reason it is done behind closed doors, it is ILLEGAL.  Portis pulled an absolute 180, probably when the Redskins PR department got a hold of him and told him not to say a word further on the situation.  Stop coming to the defense of a killer, and he is because he admitted to doing so.

Every time I hear the NAACP coming to the defense of anyone, I always think to my self, "Well what are they going to be bitching about now,".  When RL White said that Vick is just pleading guilty becasue he is trying to cut his losses and trying to save his NFL career is completely wrong.  If i was innocent of a crime, like Vick said he was, I would scream from the roof tops that I was innocent.  Stop trying to make this issue into a race issue by saying that the "White Media" is targeting Vick because he is a wealthy African-American professional athlete, they aren't.  They are riding him because Vick is an exciting football player who made very bad decisions and financed the entire operation.  Vick was involved, stop looking beyond that.

I won't mention his father simply because he is looking for a cash grab and has an axe to grind with Vick, don't get me started.

Vick was the financier of this operation and he should not be overlooked in this situation.  He should be punished for what he did.
