There are some who fear that Roger Clemens has become the Michael Jordan of Major League Baseball. That is to say, the past brilliance and huge performances on the grand stage rank Clemens among the game's all-time greats, but that his latest return can only tarnish his storied past.

I, for one, am excited to see the return of The Rocket. Why should anyone assume a huge dropoff in 2006 after he was so dominant a year ago? That, and, don't you think he's earned the right to go out on his own terms?

If the Astros are amenable to his interesting working conditions, where's the harm? It didn't seem to matter to anyone as the Astros ran to the World Series last year.

What's your take on The Rocket? Should he have been grounded permanently, or will he soar high in the atmosphere once again?
