No TO? No Problem. We've Got Reggie & Deuce. Dallas Versus New Orleans

Monday, August 21, 2006, 06:25 PM EST [NFL, Cowboys, Saints, Fantasy ]

With all of the rumors swirling about Drew Bledsoe's job security and concern for the Dallas offense without Owens, the Cowboys certainly moved the ball with relative ease against the Saints. Playing with great confidence and perhaps a sense of urgency, Bledsoe connected with Jason Witten, Sam Hurd and Terry Glenn to push the ball deep into Saints territory. He just missed connecting with Witten for a touchdown on third down which set up a short field goal. It was good to see Bledsoe show some emotion as the ball fell incomplete. He finished the series 4-for-7 for 43 yards.

Bill Parcells demonstrated his desire to get both of his running backs in the mix early with both Julius Jones and Marion Barber III showing a great burst into the line. Jones ripped off an eight yard run on his first carry, and Barber III picked up a huge first down to sustain the drive on third and six.

Mike Vanderjagt was scratched from the game with a strained groin, allowing 2nd-year man Suisham to boot the short field goal.

3-0 Cowboys --- Drew Brees and Reggie Bush coming up.
