Happy New Year, everyone!

And, I'm hoping for more positive stories in 2007. As much fun as it was speculating about who/what/when with regard to things like "Spygate" and the Mitchell investigation, I'm hopeful that this new year will be more about the locker rooms, practice fields and on-field play.

Of course, who doesn't like a little scandal now and again?

We're settling into playoff football, the end of the college bowl season, and action is heating up on the hardwood and the ice. We'll be looking at the beginning of spring training soon enough. I can't wait!

One of my resolutions it continue to redouble our efforts to build community and bring you more fully into the mix in this venue. You're watching your favorite teams and sweating out each and every signal called by the catcher and play-call from the booth. Let's hear what you think about it all.
