Week 5 Cubs at Cardinals

 A Visit to the Anheuser Busch Brewery in St. Louis...

We went to the brewery to see why Bud tastes so good...not only did we find out the answer but we got a really cool pair of work goggles.

I might have glossed over the 7 steps that go into making Bud the "Great American Lager" but let's be honest - it's hard to remember everything when free samples are involved.

I do recall that they use 13 types of hops to make Bud...that's impressive if you ask me (and I am now a deputized Budweiser brewmaster).

Bottom Line - Budweiser=good

My New Haircut...

I got a new haircut and all my boys got the same haircut...not quite. Busy all week, I was unable to get a haircut before coming to Cleveland.

Luckily for me, 2007 A.L. Cy Young award winner and Indians' pitcher, C.C. Sabathia was there to help save the day.

While some of his Indians' teammates thought he did a good job...Tim McCarver had other ideas.

Last week Screwballs was invited to be on "The Nightly Scoreboard," a nightly show on FOX Business Channel. Hosted by the incomprabrle David Asman, Scoreboard is one of the best hottest and most cutting edge shows out there today (at least that what their producers told us).

Week 3 - Mets at Phillies

Screwballs Teaches Jose Reyes a New Handshake:

 In an effort to give back to the game I take  few minutes on Friday to show my old friend, Jose Reyes, a new handshake. It is a mild shake that still packs a lot of punch.

Both Jose and I are professionals so please don't try this out at home without proper supervision.

Don't go to Citizens Bank Park and not go to Bull's BBQ - Owned by former Phillie Greg Luzinski...Not only does he have the best food at the park but he also has a great new BBQ sauce for home use - no word if Ken Rosenthal bought any.

Item eaten this week: Cheesesteak with wiz and peppers (at Pat's), cheesesteak at Tony Luke's, pulled pork sandwich at Bull's BBQ, cherry water ice.

Yankees Pitcher, and master of the flat brimmed hat, Joba Chamberlain took one look at the bent rim on FOX Sports hat and had felt the need to intervene.

The Boston Red Cups

I meet a lot of people on the road. Some stranger than others...but none stranger than the BOSTON RED CUPS.

Dressed up in life size Dixie Red Cups (and nothing else) they run wild around Fenway, chasing cars, supporting their Sox and harrasing any Yankee fans that dare to encroach on their turf.

Reading Is Fun With Tim McCarver and Jonathan Papelbon:

Before the game on Friday Jonathan Papelbon read through Tim McCarver's new book "Diamond Gems" while Tim McCarver read/looked at the pictures in Jonathan Papelbon's new book "Pitching With The Papelbons" - BUY THEM BOTH

I think this might have been the 1st bedtime story ever read in the dugout at Fenway - still waiting to hear back from Guiness.
