    Week 9

    Chiefs vs Bucs

In the first half of this contest the Chiefs look like the Chiefs of old. The defense held the line of run and stopped the passing game. The offense dominated the field and worked the clock to their advantage. Quarterback Thigpen look like he was coming into his own as he pushed the running game, switched up the offense and dropped the deep passes where they needed to be for his recievers'. It was another close game that could have and should have be a victory for the Chiefs. But it does appear that this young team how ever they are doing it seem to be getting better little by little and will eventually be a very dominated smash mouth football team.

But in the mean time they need to work on the second half of the game and secure the win instead of self destucting and letting the opponent run all over them and creating a come back victory. I will be the first be admit that I could have possibly been wrong about Tyler Thigpen. In the last two weeks that he has started for the Chiefs he has proven him self to the coaches, his teammates and to the fans.

Next week the Chiefs face divison rival San Diego Chargers let hope the Chiefs can keep improving and secure the victory next week because their really gonna need it.

    Close Call In New York

    Week 8

    Chiefs vs Jets

A revisit to the team that gave Kansas City Their final lost of the 2007 NFL season but now there new faces and new skills to face from Kansas City. Would today's meet have the same results as last year? It seem as if it would as Brett and the Jets marched on the field in the first quarter to put the first seven points on the board. As the Chiefs denfense took the field quarter after quarter they kept pounding away at Brett and his offensive line and end up picking Brett for three turnover which resulted in fourteen points for Kansas City.

Kansas City's offense played an impressive game as well today against the Jets defense holding them from sacking Tyler massively as the Jets defense is know to do. Tyler's pass completion to intreceptions rate was much better today than the previous games he played this year.  Marching down the field to match Brett and his offense drive for drive made this one of Kansas City most exciting games since meeting the Denver Broncos in week three.

In the fourth quarter of the game and the Chiefs down by four with one minute to Tyler moved the team into scoring position and somehow managed to throw it away. Althrough it was a impressive drive on fourth down being that close to the end zone he should have throw it deep for the winning score. It seems as if the Chiefs playoff hopes are finished for the 2008 season unless......... Culpepper? Culpepper maybe the Chiefs last and only hope for the season to make a playoff run.

Next week is again another chance for the Chiefs to secure a victory lets just hope that the Chiefs go into next weeks game with a veteran behind the center that can secure that victory for them.

    Go Chiefs!

This Is Why Tony Wanted Out!

Sunday, October 19, 2008, 07:24 PM EST [General]

    Week 7

    Titians vs. Chiefs

This week the Chiefs faced the Titians and it was a disastrous game from the word go. The Titians came into Kansas City the only undefeated team in the NFL had their way with the Chiefs and left the only undefeated team in the NFL. Quaterback Brodie Croyle went down in the third quater finishing the rest of his 2008 season. Go figure! Quaterback Damon Huard went out in the fourth quater with a thumb injury which left the Chiefs with their only option Quaterback Tyler Thigpen who has as much NFL expericence as a rock on top of MT. Rushmore.

Tony Gonzalez did just as he said he would he continued to work hard and played a very good game today but can't carry the game on his own. This is one of the many reasons Tony wanted a trade out of Kansas City. This organization is very young with few veterans who can help carry this team to a championship. True this team has the potential to be a championship team in the future which I am looking forward to very soon just as many other Chiefs fans are. But by the time they get to that point of their rebuilding process Tony could very well be retired. I would really like to see Tony win a championship before that happens either with Kansas City or as it may be next season with another team. One thing that the Chiefs really need to start looking for as the 2009 NFL draft draws closer is a Quaterback that can come in to Kansas City take the reins and lead this team from day one.

After watching this contest Chiefs fans might it well consider this season over unless they do something drastic between now and next week when they travel to New York to face Brett and his Jets. As always I have high hopes that they will achieve a victory. So until next week....

    Go Chiefs!

    Kansas City Chiefs

    Week 6

    Bye Week

The Kansas City Chiefs bye week has apparently been a busy week. With the news of veteran Tony Gonzalez looking for a trade is very disappointing news but I can't say as I blame him. Tony has been with the Chiefs for a long time and I am sure he'd like to retire from the Chiefs if he could do it in the same manner as Michael Strahan did with the Giants. But weather Tony stays in Kansas City or moves on with another team I wish Tony the best of luck because he truely deserves a championships ring.

It also looks as if running back Larry Johnson is looking to get out of Kansas City. He too must want a championship ring before his career is over. These two veteran player will truely be miss by Kansas City Chiefs fans.

The rebuilding process of the Chiefs is really taking a toll on this organization as soon they won't have any veteran leadership which is really lacking from this team because there are so few veterans left in Kansas City. Herm Edwards his coaching staff needs to get this young team in the winning lane soon or Mr. Hunt needs to find him a new head coach.

Next week the Chiefs face the titans and I am hoping for a victory and winning streak to finish the season.

    Carolina Who?

Sunday, October 5, 2008, 06:20 PM EST [General]

    Week 5

    Chiefs vs Panthers

This week the Chiefs played against the Panthers and I feel that many people are scratching their heads saying Carolina Who? Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it just last season that Carolina was at or close too the lowest rank in their own division? Today game against the Chiefs the Panthers played as if they had something to prove to their fans and the to the other teams in the NFL.

The Chiefs obviously were still on their high of defeating the Denver Broncos last week at home, but for what ever reason did not bring it with them to Carolina. What in the world is going on with Kansas City? Is it that their to young? Is it that they have no leadership? Is it the head coach and the coaching staff? Or is it simple that the Kansas City Chiefs just need to need reach out to a veteran quaterback but yet is still young enough to leader the Chiefs to more than one championship game.

The only good accomplishment that came out of todays game was Tony Gonzalez's beating Shannon Sharpe's record. Next week is a bye week for the Chiefs and they need to come back to arrowhead review tape and pratice much harder on filling the gaps and start getting more victories for themselves and the for their fans who want to see success in Kansas City.

    Go Chiefs!
