    Denver Rematch

Sunday, December 7, 2008, 05:39 PM EST [General]

    Week 14

    Chiefs vs Broncos

Yet another close game for the Kansas City Chiefs, but yet again the manage to muff it up in the second half. With a three point lead going into the half Kansas City's denfense couldn't hold Denver on critical third down possessions and Kansas City's offense could put together a suitable drive in the second half. Kansas City definitively ended their chances of being a spoiler or squeaking into a wild card spot. Now it's just a matter of playing for pride. This truely is the worst season of Kansas City Chiefs history!

Better luck next year Chiefs fans!

    Raiders Round 2

Sunday, November 30, 2008, 06:24 PM EST [General]

    Week 13

    Chiefs vs. Raiders

The second and final meeting for these two teams this year was a much closer match-up. This young defense really did their homework to get the Raiders offense from run all over them again. The Chiefs offense did some good work and put a few points on the board, but it was the defense that held the Raiders at bay. Leggett's special team touch down really helped the Chiefs out this week to secure a win.

Next week they head into mile high where they'll meet the Broncos again. Let see how well the Chiefs can do their homework again and secure another win against Denver in mile high this time.

    Season Ending

Sunday, November 23, 2008, 04:56 PM EST [General]

    Week 12

    Chiefs vs. Bills

What can you say to make this week sound upbeat and cheerful? Not much like most other Chiefs fans I could stand to watch the end of this contest. Although it started out good it didn't stay that way and how can anyone stand to continue to lose week in and week out. Something must change in Kansas City! We need wins! This season is done for the Chiefs all they can do is just play for the fans and hope next season will be better.

    Not Quite a Saint

Sunday, November 16, 2008, 07:22 PM EST [General]

    Week 11

    Chiefs vs. Staints

In the 1st quarter the defensive over all defended the ball and the run well with a Drew Brees interception by the Chiefs defense it created the offensive first opportunity to score. Tyler use a wide range of his receivers including a wildcat offensive play that worked well to maintain possession and score the first seven.

In the 2nd quarter the defensive sacked of a little leaving holes open for Brees to attack. Offensively after being denied the touchdown three times coach Edwards made a good choice by just kicking the field goal for the tie. Special teams is slacking on defending the field and in to work on defening during kicking off to the opponent and blocking and creating holes when receiving the ball.

The 3rd quarter offense needs to convert more third down possessions.

Defense needs to protect the secondary and not bite of the double pump. The defense is allowing to many holes and let the Saints run all over them during the second half of the game.

The 4th quarter offense started with a nice draw play by drawing the Saints defense off with a quarterback seek and then a D. Bowe touchdown. Larry Johnson just couldn't seem to get it done in the red zone. The defense did good to hold the Saint to a three and out on the Saints first possession of the fourth.

Twice Kansas City Chiefs were in the red zone and couldn't convert for six and having to settle for three. Something different needs to be done so that Kansas City can convert more with in the red zone and hopefully finish a game with a win. The Kansas City Chiefs second half defense lost this game for the team and the fact that the offense can't convert on third down possessions.

Second half of play still seem to be a problem for the Chiefs. This is possibly the worst season in Chiefs history, but next week is another opportunity to get another win.

    GO CHIEFS!

    Week10

    Chiefs vs Chargers

It looks as if it could be Tyler's team as he continues to improve week after week. This week again he grabbed the lead early for Kansas City, but yet again the defense and offense lost their fire in the second half and couldn't finish the game. What more can a disappointed and frustrated fan say. It would be nice to see them lead, finish and win a game. This season is finished for the Chiefs the best that they can do now is spoiled a chance for another team.

Next week their back at home against the Saints. We can only hope next week will be better.

    Go Chiefs
