Two Gone! Who Will Stay? Who Will Replace?

Saturday, January 24, 2009, 08:55 PM EST [General]

    Hey there Chiefs fans!

Head coach Edwards is gone, Defensive Coordinator Gunther Cunningham is gone. Who will replace these men and will they be top notch men or will they be so called "rookie" coaches? Will this be the year that the Chiefs finally make it to championship status? With a new GM (already in place), head coach, and Defensive Coordinator (still yet to be named) my next question is this. Will Tony G remain in KC or will he again ask for a trade? Will LJ still be in KC or has he and the Chiefs had enough of each other?

Draft day is about 90 days out and Scott and Clark have a lot of work still yet to do within that time. Coaches to hire, players to scout. and contracts to renew. Let's just hope it's all done it time and they build a good, strong, fast, hard hitting team that will excite fans for years to come.

A new GM; A new era for Kansas City?

Tuesday, January 13, 2009, 07:20 PM EST [Kansas City Cheifs]

Hello sports fans, Hello Chiefs fans!

Scott Pioli VP of New England's player personal come to Kansas City. Excitement runs through my mind and my heart after researching who Scott Pioli is and what he has done for New England. Does this truely mean championship titles are in store for Kansas City and their fans? Let's hope so. But the next question is what will happen to coach Edwards, his coaching staff, and all the work that has been done to start rebuilding this franchise with young talent has begun their career a NFL pro players? Is Pioli on the same page as Clark Hunt? Will the new talent stay in Kansas City or will they be pushed to the sidelines by veteran free agents? Will coach Edwards be able to finish is last contacted year in Kansas City or will there be a new coach?

I personal would hate to see all these young player leave K.C if Pioli decide to recuit veteran free agents. Yes, there is advantages to have veteran players but these young players are finally start to "gel" as one team. To break them up or push 'em to the sidelines for veteran player would be unfair. We have a lot of good young talent that could take us very far for a very long time. I truely hope Mr. Pioli does a wonderful job here in K.C and I hope to see a lot of returning players from last season, but I also hope he view the upcoming talent in the senior bowl and drafts well for the Chiefs in the '09 draft.

As for coach Edwards I am very border line. Meaning that in a way I'd like to see coach Edwards finish his last contacted in K.C just to see if he could advance this young team into a championship game, but yet I feel as if his time here is up? He made a lot of decisions that he either should have went for/ not went for. (example: the first meeting with the Chargers. Chiefs were with in one point of tying the game and coach Edwards tries to force a two point convertion which would have give the Chiefs the leader and possible the win). I don't know! If there are any other fans that would like to commit feel free. Let me know how you feel?

    An End To A Season

Sunday, December 28, 2008, 06:01 PM EST [General]

    Week 17

    Chiefs vs Bengals

It's an end to a season that Chiefs fans and players would like to soon forget and but behind them. This contest was just another typical young team learning experience, but know that the season is done the Chiefs and Clark Hunt can start working and building towards a new season and a better Chiefs record.

With the Chiefs and Mr. Hunt in hunt of a replacement for a new GM Chiefs fans may find quite a few new changes in play along with more new faces to dawn a Chiefs uniform. Let's just hope that this new GM will be on board with what Clark is doing and not remove all the hard work that has already been done by drafting all this new yong talent. We need a GM that will help build and make Kansas City the Champions we Chiefs fans know they can be!

Next season the Chiefs orgaization will be 50 years old. Congrats Kansas City for making it fifty years. Lamar I hope would be so proud of all the support and fans that the Chiefs have. Let's all pray that next season the Chiefs orgaization can show the Hunt family would proud they are by bring home a division title and a superbowl championship.

See all you Chiefs fans next season.

    Early Christmas Gathering

Monday, December 22, 2008, 08:30 PM EST [General]

    Week 16

    Chiefs vs Miami

Sorry Chiefs fans had an early chirstmas gathering with the family. But after watching highlights didn't look like I missed much. Chiefs although played another wonderful game still gave up another in the fouth quater due to a fumble on a kick return. But I will say this the Chiefs are getting better and with Carl Peterson leaving the organization we will see what next year truely bring to Kansas City.

We still have one more game left let's hope that this season with end with a win.

    Go Chiefs!

    Keeping It Close

Monday, December 15, 2008, 06:39 PM EST [General]

    Week 15

    Chiefs vs Chargers

Round two of this divisional match-up being with the Chiefs leading and dominating the Chargers in the first half of the match-up. The Chiefs may be young and still developing but Chiefs fans and non-fans have to admit that since Tyler Thigpen took over the starting position as Quaterback he has learned from his mistakes and adjusted his game to keep the Chiefs in the game and their not getting the butt kicking that they could be. Yes the season is the worst in Chiefs history but we Chiefs fans must stay committed to our team and their rebuilding process and look at it in this matter. Teams that seem to have the worst season seem to follow it up by have an exellent season next year.

Yes the Chiefs should have won this game but some how their manage to lose their desire, heart, or fire to finish in the second half . But have faith my Chiefs fans I get down about losing too but they will rebound from this and next year promises to be better. We have plenty of young talent that will develop and when they do we will be explosive. Let's finish out this season and look towards the future.

    GO CHIEFS!
