Chiefs vs Rams (For the Gov. Cup)

Ok so I miss a blog for week 3 against Seattle.

Ok so let's move to last nights game. The first half of the game for the Chiefs was fair and the defense was really strong.

The second half the Chiefs just seem to fall apart.

With the Offensive Coordinator of Kansas City being released of his duties yesterday and Coach Hailey taking over the duties of Coordinator and Head Coach it begs the question will Hailey find a replacement before the start of the regular season or will he wait until next season?

The Offense is Coach Hailey's strong suit, but he needs to be weary of the team as a whole.

Hey Chiefs Fans

What could Coach Hailey and his Coaching staff be thinking? Rumor has it that QB Tyler Thigpen could be put on the trading block. Why isn't QB Croyle the one being put on the trading block? Yeah Thigpen has some growing to do but so does QB Cassell. At least Thigpen show promise last season where as QB Croyle is so injury prone that if he stays in KC he better be third string, but I am hoping that Croyle is the one to going.

Thigpen's only hope could be how well he plays in Saturdays game if he gets a chance to play. Chiefs Fans let's hope for the best.

Well at least one thing is for sure the Chiefs are still keeping the games close but are still finding it difficult to finish the game with a win.

I'll say this much for Cassel he is getting better, but he also needs to learn to play well in the elements of the weather. The offensive line still needs work and needs to protect the QB better no matter who's  under center. The Defense needs to work on not leaving the field wide open to an easy first down or touchdown. The Defensive line is looking good especially number 51, rookie Tyson Jackson is also doing well I think these two defensive players will have an awsome rookie season.

I still not feelin' QB Croyle his thinking process fails his atheltic abilities because when the pocket claps he is rush and makes poor throws. He did it last season and he's done it in the last two preseason games of this new season. QB Gutierrez worked the field very well in his first preseason game as a Chief. So in my opinion the QB's that Todd should keep are Cassel, Thigpen, and Gutierrez.

Let's hope the next game goes better.

The first preseason game for Kansas City is now in the books for the '09 season and from the looks of how the game played out the Chiefs still need a lot of work.

QB Matt Cassel needs to work on his delievery of the ball, the offensive line needs to work on holding the defense to give Matt enough time to get the ball into his recievers hands.  QB Croyle still isn't a contender for position in my eyes and Thigpen still knows how to create opportunity to move the chains with his legs. Kind of like Micheal Vick did in Atlanta.

The defense for the Chiefs needs work to but at least they were able to get two sacks in this game and hold the texans to a couple of 3 and outs.  But this is what preseason is for. To find the flaws that still might remain in team and find ways to iron them out before the games start to count against you in the regular season.

Let's hope the next preseason game is better.
