The Open Cup has always seemed to me to be the saddest little tournament - it's got so much going for it yet it seems to be impossible to get anyone to actually care about it, much less attend games. (I've always enjoyed it, for the record.)  I'd love to hear from readers on why they think this is - my feeling has always been that the Cup suffers from both a lack of understanding and the fact that U.S. Soccer hasn't done much to promote it.
