    ...sigh.
    But, some posters here are flat out wrong re: Rooney and his foot.

    At the time, early in the match, Rooney was involved in a rash challenge with Terry that resultged in Terry having to come off for a moment. While Rooney himself was pulled in the 78th after Ferreira clanged into him, a quick search through the newspapers at the time (and a watching of the tape) will show that most folks thought that Rooney had actually injured the foot in that tackle with Terry. Certainly Terry thought so in the post-game remarks.

    So, I stand by that, despite the fact that the incident has (inaccurately) been reduced by newspaper shorthand to his coming off in the 78th-79th minute.
