Oregon Ducks Still in Hunt for Terrelle Pryor

    Wednesday, January 23, 2008, 10:10 PM EST [Dwindy1]

According to an article in today's Eugene Oregon Register-Guard written by Rob Moseley, highly recruited Jeannette, Pennsylvania high school quarterback, Terrelle Pryor, will visit the University of Oregon's Eugene campus next week. The 6'6" 225 pound Pryor, the nation's number one rated high school football star, visited Ohio State last November, and used his second of five recruiting trips allowed last week to visit Ann Arbor, Michigan and meet with Rich Rodriguez. That leaves Pryor three more visits. Although young Pryor wasn't sure about his itinerary for next week when asked, his high school coach, Ray Reitz has been quoted by several sports outlets as saying that Pryor will be in Eugene.

My how things can change when a collegiate football program rises to the heights. Whether Terrelle  Pryor actually becomes a Duck or not, just the publicity resulting from having such a high profile recruit's interest can do nothing but good for the university's football fortunes. The article went on to say that Oregon's current crop of recruits is ranked 19th nationally by Rivals.com and 23rd by Scout.com as it stands today.

Although I consider it a long shot, just think about all the ramifications if Pryor becomes enthralled with Oregon and the Duck uni's...
