College football lost an icon late last night.
Legendary Grambling coach Eddie Robinson passed away at age 88 after battling Alzheimer's for the last several years.
There might not be another rags to riches story quite like his. What we know today as Grambling State was the Louisiana Negro Normal and Industrial Institute when Robinson got there in 1941.
Eight years later he sent his first player to the NFL, the first of over 200 that would make that journey. Former player Doug Williams, who famously became the first black QB to win a Super Bowl and who took over the program when Robinson was forced out in 1997, reacts:
"For the Grambling family this is a very emotional time. But I'm thinking about Eddie Robinson the man, not in today-time, but in the day and what he meant to me and to so many people."
Now's your chance. Post your thoughts and condolences on the passing of the pioneering coach.
