Lakers VICTORY!

        The last time the Lakers met Boston, the result wasn't  exactly what I had hoped for. The reigning champs are now  the holders of the best record to start a season EVER at 27-2...they are also on a 20 game win streak...pretty impressive.

The Lakers meanwhile have struggled for the last two weeks or so, lost a key reserve to injury in Jordan Farmar and hve lost 3 of their last five games...not the way to come into a showdown with the team wearing the rings...the same team that sent you packing by way of a 40 point victory last time you shared the court. The same nemesis that holds a 10-2 record against you in the Finals. The same team whose head coach is complaining about the world champs having to travel to LA on Christmas. His thinking goes: We're the champs...we BEAT this Lakers team LAST YEAR...WHY are WE the one's on a plane? Shouldn't the LAKERS have to come to OUR arena? He's trying to rile the troops.

...Sounds like he's nervous to me.

The Celts are EXPECTED to win this game...they have the momentum...they have the record to prove it...they have the win streak...they have the self proclaimed best player in the world in Paul Pierce...(they also have the REAL best player in the world in KG...he may not be that guy numbers wise, but the tude he brings with him has spread throughout the Boston landscape and without him, PP wasn't even considered in the argument, but winning has a way of changing things.

So I'm hoping for a Lakers win...you know...to change things.
