The Red Sox are rumoured to be making an anouncment this afternoon that Jonathan Papelbon will be returning to the bullpen to assume the closers role that he filled so brilliantly last year.
Due to a shoulder injury it was thought that Paps would at least start the year as a member of the starting rotation.
Papelbon was arguably the best closer in the American league last year. and would fill a glaring need in the Sox bullpen.
If this is true all I can say is "Whos playing for second place"

Paps was lights out last year before his injury, recording 35 sv out of 41 svo and posting a ridiculas 0.92 era striking out75 with 13 walks and giving up only 7 earned runs all year.
This is very good news for the Fenway faithful and very bad news for the rest of the American League
