Today My wife and I took my daughter to her first playoff game. She's a huge Celtic's fan and has been to quite a few games with us. But nothing compares to a Playoff game at the Garden. Though the outcome  was not what we would have liked, it was a great game , The joint was ROCKIN!! and we had a blast . We sat up in the nosebleed seats and cheered until we were hoarse, booed every bad call and laughed our asses off at the drunk guy next to us(this guy was priceless).

I was planning to blog about the the Celtics poor defensive  effort or Jesus Shuttleworth finally breaking out of his shooting funk. I could lament the Celtics loss and piss and moan about the officiating but I won't.

Tonite, sitting with my wife and daughter , cheering and laughing ,I realized thats not really important to me right now. With my wife and I working and my daughter with school and work and friends ,it has been a while since we've done anything together.

    eddie's in da house!

I look at my kid all grown up (17) and I wonder " where the hell was I when this happened " it went by to fast. Somehow time jumped from teaching her to ride a bike to teaching her to drive a car in the blink of an eye.

I would like to thank my wife and kid for a great evening that I will cherish forever and reminding me what is really important . Next time lets not wait so long.

     There's always the finals,

    UNDRAFTED GEM

Sunday, April 27, 2008, 06:19 PM EST [General]

Instead of anylizing and picking apart the various teams draft picks,This post will focus on a player who was passed over in this 2008 NFL draft , Whom I believe will become a very good FA pickup.

     Jamie Silva, ss, Boston College

Silva started 37games for BC. He had 302 career tackles (193 solo) and 3 1/2 sacks for minus-23 yards, as well as 15 1/2 stops for losses totaling 55 yards. He caused three fumbles, recovered four others, including one that he returned 51 yards for a touchdown, and deflected seven passes. Silva is a "Kamikazee" on special teams and has earned comparisons to the ledgendary Steve Tasker from some NFL scouts. I wached this guy play 3 seasons at BC and the way he plays reminds me a lot of Pat Tillman. (Maybe it's the hair)

I figured him to go somwhere between the 5th and 7th rounds. (Shows what I know )

I believe whichever team signs him as a free agent is getting one hell of a football player at a bargain price. This Kid plays angry all the time and the fact that he was passed over will only motivate him further. He can step in right away and be a standout special teams guy

Silva is an extremely hard working , intelligent ( 29 on the wonderlic) and instictive player who has a "nose for the ball" and always seems to make the big stops when it counts(28 redzone tackles). Plays with the kind blatant disregard for his own, as well as his opponents body, that will endear him to all football fans.

I see Jamie Silva having a long and productive NFL career as a starting SS and a standout special teams guy.

A few teams that woud be great fits

    New England

    NY   Jets

    Pittsburgh

    Hat's off to the G-men

Saturday, December 29, 2007, 09:59 PM EST [General]

Congrats to the Pats for a perfect regular season and to Brady and Moss for breaking the records. Now the real season begins

For me, the real thanks goes to the Giants and their coaching staff for "playing their asses off", when they had nothing to gain

As we will no doubt witness this weekend A lot of teams who have already made the Playoffs will mail it in and rest their starters. Why risk injury to a star player when their is nothing on the line but a meaningless win.

The Giants risked their post season for pride. They came out in this game fullbore with all their starters and gave the Pats all they could handle. You could tell the Giants wanted this game badly. They made the Pats work hard for that 16th win

This was the best game of the season so far as far as I'm concerned

Hat's off to Coughlin and the Giants, You are one of the reasons the NFL is the best

New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress pulls down a 52-yard pass from quarterback Eli Manning against New England Patriots cornerback Ellis Hobbs III (27) during the first quarter of an NFL football game at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007.
