    Somebody Get Me A Doctor!

Sunday, March 1, 2009, 02:33 PM EST [General]

Jamie McMurray may be sick -- he was headed back to the infield care center after Saturday's final practice to try and find something to relieve his chest congestion -- but his car looks great. McMurray posted the seventh-fastest speed in final practice, leading a Roush Fenway Racing contingent that also saw Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle crack the top 12.

Word is a bug has been going around at Roush and that Jamie has been sick for a week.  He didn't sound bad on Track Pass the other night and the bug hasn't seemed to hurt team mates Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth.  So everything should be fine.  Here's hoping so.

    Cheers!

    Roush Quotes:

"We haven't been racing long enough for me to make those mistakes. I'm sure I'll make them." - Carl Edwards

"I didn't think we would have won the first two races, so I haven't really thought about the third." - Matt Kenseth

Kenny Wallace Ready To Shake It In Vegas

Friday, February 27, 2009, 11:02 PM EST [General]

Kenny Wallace and the U.S. Border Patrol are ready to put their California troubles behind them and mix it up for a competitive run on Saturday.  Kenny has a best finish of 8th in six races at the 1.5-mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  His best start at LVMS is tenth.

"We have to shake it and head to Vegas," Kenny reports.  I love the racetrack in Vegas."

Unfortunately Kenny's car was slow in practice on Friday.

Kenny ran a fast lap of 31.462, good for 29th on the speed charts.  The team improved to 23rd fastest in the second session with a fast lap of 30.765.

Qualifying for the Sam's Town 300 is at noon Eastern on Saturday and the race broadcast begins at 4:00 Eastern time.

ProTrade Blogger Philly High on Kyle Low on Junior

Friday, February 27, 2009, 04:55 PM EST [General]

    Buys

    1. Kyle Busch- PROTRADE has Kyle ranked in 7th place at around $220. Kyle will likely win more races than any other driver during the 2009 season. As long as he can finally find success during the final 10 races he should be the one who can finally dethrone (Jimmie)Johnson.

    2. Mark Martin- See;

for more on Mark and others.

    3. Jamie McMurray- PROTRADE has McMurray ranked in 25th place at around $141. I have never been a very big fan of McMurray but he should be a lock at cracking the top 20. Many NASCAR writers have predicted that this may be the year that McMurray makes the Chase for the Cup. While I do not have that much faith in McMurray the low risk makes it worth buying.

    pic credit : http://autoracingsport.com/wp-content/uploads/nascar/earnhardtjr_headshot.jpg

    Shorts

    1. Dale Earnhardt Jr- PROTRADE has Dale ranked in 11th place at around $205. This has started off to be a very bad year for Jr. He has had several questionable driver errors and it seems as if everyone is questioning if his cousin Tony Eury (Jr.) has what it takes to be a winning crew chief. If things do not get turned around soon, and they could with Atlanta and Texas coming up, look for things to really get shaken up with this team. Beware because Dale Earnhardt Jr fans may not allow for him to fall until closer to earnings day. The Earnhardt fans are truly diehards.

And This one's for photo.  While I have seen other writers higher on Mikey after his good start to this season.  this guy isn't buying it.

    2. Michael Waltrip- PROTRADE has Michael ranked in 16th place at around $172. Give me a break. Do I really need to go into how Michael is driving out of his you know what right now. He has always been a good driver at the Super Speedways but a bad driver everywhere else. There are not enough restrictor plate races for Michael to finish in the top 25. He has also stated that if he struggles as a driver this year he will give some other driver the opportunity to drive that car.
